Allstate Insurance: Clearly demonstrating peace of mind
Posted Jul 10, 2009 By Brian TurnerEMC Business Allstate Insurance is growing again and Brian Randall, branch manager of their newest office at 4100 Standherd Dr. (Cedarview Plaza), isn't surprised at all.
Many of his team's new clients are giving the same reason when asked why they switched to Allstate they were looking for personal service from real professionals rather than dealing with a call-centre operator or a Web-based maze of confusion.
Brian points to hard lessons that some of his customers learned from other insurance carriers when it came time to make a claim. Some were shocked to find out they had no coverage for an automobile collision in the U.S. because they didn't take out an 'international travel endorsement.' Others experienced financial stress, as their bargain priced insurance company required them to make up-front payments to health care providers for 'covered' treatments.
Brian knows that there's much more to the price one pays for insurance, there's also the cost in terms of claim delays, lack of knowledgeable advice, and being able to reach an agent in a time of crisis.
But those costs don't exist at Allstate.
Everyone at Allstate's Ottawa southwest office are licensed agents who have undertaken extensive training as well as continual course upgrades to be able to provide the best advice for home, auto, or life issues. Brian's team represents more than 70 years of experience in insurance knowledge and they are only a local phone call or visit away when the need arises.
Agents Kevin Fox, Debra Randall, Jeannie Ryan, and Jane Shepherd, along with agency assistant Sarah Near provide customer coverage as complete as the 'Good Hands' protection that has propelled Allstate to the number one insurance company in terms of claims service. Their office is centrally located in Barrhaven (in the new plaza at the corner of Cedarview Rd. and Strandherd Dr.) and weekday evening and Saturday appointments are easily available by request.
And as Highway 416 is just a stone's throw away, client from anywhere in the Ottawa area can easily get to the first-class service that this company provides.
Allstate is one of only a few insurance companies to still employ their own claims' adjusters (rather than subcontract out this essential service) and the only one of their size to do so. And provincial and international borders don't provide any barriers to the 'Good Hands' coverage. The Ottawa southwest office is licensed to provide insurance in both Ontario and Quebec (a perfect fit for those with properties on both sides of the Ottawa River) and any claim arising from an issue in the U.S. is handled just like it occurred just down the street.
While some might think all this service and expertise comes at a price, Brian is quick to dispel those myths.
"We're able to save our clients money through innovative products like Your Choice Home and Auto policies where customers can tailor their plans to fit their needs and with the help of trained and extremely capable agents nothing is left to chance."
He adds, "We also offer a guarantee of service that means we are there to help you open a claim and follow it through to the end where you're satisfied."
Being first in the insurance industry isn't the only leadership position that Brian has in mind for his community-oriented team. Leading by example, he is very much involved with the Barrhaven Business Improvement Area, an organization committed to helping local business and commerce succeed, as well as chairing the local Juvenile Diabetes Research Foundation. His entire Allstate office team also supports the United Way through their popular 'Day of Caring' initiative.
But, of course, insurance isn't the only quality product offered at this Allstate location. In keeping with the company's practice of one-stop shopping, this team is proud to announce that Sunlife Financial will provide expert planning and investment services through Warren Weiss.
On Tuesday July 14, the Ottawa southwest Allstate office will officially celebrate its grand opening with a ribbon cutting at 11 a.m. Nepean-Carleton MP Pierre Poilievre will be attending along with Allstate's national president Chris Kiah and assistance vice-president Tim Currie.
